Yes, I know I haven't been posting lately. I do have a pretty good reason.
I've just moved to a new state (yet again) from a dry as hell one that has a habit of spontaneously combusting every single year to a wet as hell one were if the army's not playing war games then it means there is a tornado warning in effect. Predictably, my immune system went bonkers on me two weeks ago. Although I've never once had the flu (I grew up playing in an open air sewage drainage ditch which gave my immune system one hell of a jump start) I caught it this time around and spent one week in something near a state of "zombie" and last week in bed. I'm just now getting back into the swing of the normal routine.
Please forgive my absence and any third rate nyQuil inspired posts I may have written in the past couple weeks. |

Uh... hi, I really suck at these things but... name's Lee Adama and I'm a officer of the Colonial fleet or what's left of it.
I don't know where to start aside from to tell you that everything I've ever known was wiped out in what seemed like seconds by the metal frakkers that we call Cylons. They came for us and we weren't ready and it's a miracle that any of us made it out of the initial attacks alive, but we did and right now we're fighting to keep what's left of us alive. It's not always easy, a couple Battlestars and a full civilian fleet against greater numbers and relentless pursuit. Of course they've stopped chasing us so hard since we destroyed their precious Ressurection ship, but still... they're out there and it's only a matter of time before they catch up to us again.
That's the thing you can't really relax or fall back into old habits because as soon as you do the klaxons sound and you're launching out of the tubes to what you hope isn't your death. Or in my case you end up hoping for it.
Anyways I sort of rambled there, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
Suppose I'd better get back to doing paperwork and staring at pilot rosters provided my pilots keep both tempers and fists in check this evening.
OOC: This is of course Lee Adama from the reimagined series of Battlestar Galactica. His mun is currently working her through the various seasons so he's currently a mini-series, season 1 / season 2 and near the end of season 3 Lee so the canon is liable to change as I watch more and more of the show itself. He's a friendly guy, willing to talk and I'm looking forward to getting involved with the community! Am just waiting on my invite :) |
